Ten
years ago, on November 10, 1995 on the program of the 20th
Samobor Music Autumn festival, the 15-year old
Mihael Paar was presented as one of the most distinguished clarinetists of his
generation. The Windstrings (string) orchestra, enlarged by the
wind section of the Croatian Army Wind Symphony Orchestra, (SPOHV) formed a
large symphony orchestra guided by maestro Alan Bjelinski and Mihael Paar as a featured soloist in Weber’s
Concertino, a revolutionary work of clarinet and early romantic literature.
A large audience witnessed M.Paar's debut which
exceeded all expectations of the organizers and justified the invitation which
had been
given to the rising artist, while the history of the Samobor Music
Autumn festival itself will mention that M.Paar was and still remains the only
solo-clarinetist ever to performed at the festival since its inception in 1975. |
