COMPOSITIONS

Mihael Paar started to write music as early as the age of 15. At 17 he had the first public performances of his works, one of which was also published. Until the year 2001, he was composing intensively. Having many other obligations and interests he had to give up composing till the beginning of 2005. Then his interest for composing was vitalized again; he goes back to previously written pieces, works them out, completes the incomplete ones, and starts composing new ones. His opus includes about 10 compositions, several arrangements and a number of etudes, transcriptions, variations & cadences for clarinet. There are numerous incomplete works as well as many small, non laborated composition parts and ideas.
His first compositions are anachronic of course, but even as such they tend to show an original approach to the use of classical composition techniques, which will become prominent in his later works, freed from academic models.
