Mihael Paar started drawing at the age of 9. When he was
only 10 he already had his first (one-man) exhibition which included about
40 portraits of his classmates. By 1993 he had made more than 300
drawings and sketches (mostly pencil drawings). His main thematic
preoccupation was his father during his afternoon nap. He made many
portraits of members of his family and friends as well as a few self-portraits.
Sketches of people in everyday situations, drawings of animals, flowers in
interior and still life are also part of his work. After discovering his
other love - music and clarinet, he did not find time to continue drawing
any more so he completely gave it up in 1993. The exception is the drawing
of the piano from 1997, also displayed here.
The works have been displayed chronologically. Two of them have remained
unfinished. (Table, Professor Vlahoviæ).
